I installed the 2×2 floor joists which sit directly above the steel joists on the trailer frame. I then installed 1.5″ DuraFoam insulation, which will give a total insulation value of R6. This should be adequate for living in the Pacific Northwest. I plan on using Roxul R15 for the ceiling and Spray foam for the walls, R11.
